Terms & Conditions

Finnegan’s World – Standard Terms & Conditions

1. Bookings

  • All soft play sessions, parties, and events must be booked in advance through our website or at the venue.

  • An enquiry or message alone does not guarantee a booking – confirmation will be sent once payment is received (where applicable).
     

2. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made with 48 hours’ notice or more may be eligible for a refund or reschedule.

  • No-shows or late cancellations are non-refundable.

  • Birthday parties require 7 days’ notice for cancellations or changes.
     

3. Parental Responsibility

  • Children remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian at all times.

  • Please supervise your child in the play area and café.

  • Finnegan’s World accepts no liability for lost or damaged personal items brought into the venue.
     

4. Pricing

  • Prices for soft play sessions, parties, and café items are clearly displayed and updated regularly.

  • All prices are exclusive of VAT, where applicable.
     

5. Play Area Rules

  • Our soft play is designed for children aged 0–7 years only, under 125cm in height. At present, for safety and comfort, we are limited to 16 children age 2-7, 6 toddlers age 10 months-23 months, and 5 babies under 10 months. Adults visiting are limited to 20 in total, one per child.

  • Children must wear socks at all times – no shoes or bare feet allowed in the play areas. We have some available for purchase when you arrive.

  • Older siblings are welcome in the café but should not use the soft play equipment.

  • Parents must ensure that their children play safely and respectfully.
     

6. Photography & Social Media

  • You are welcome to take photos of your child, but please respect the privacy of others.
    We may occasionally photograph the space for our marketing. Consent will be requested before any identifiable images are shared.
     

7. Behaviour Policy

  • Finnegan’s World is a safe, welcoming space. We reserve the right to ask anyone behaving inappropriately to leave.

  • Rudeness or aggressive behaviour towards staff or other guests will not be tolerated.
     

8. Allergies & Health

  • Please notify us of any allergies or medical conditions when booking sessions where your child attends without you.

  • This information will be held securely for up to 1 month.
     

9. Accessibility

  • We welcome all families and will do our best to accommodate any additional needs – just let us know in advance.

  • We can accommodate service animals, but not pets.
     

10. Updates

  • These Terms & Conditions are subject to change. The most recent version will always be available on our website and at reception.

Finnegan’s World – Party Hire Terms & Conditions

 

General

  • All party booking enquiries must be made via email stating ‘Party Booking Enquiry’ in the subject line and sent to info@finnegansworld.co.uk.

  • The age range our frame can accommodate is the same as our soft play sessions, 0-7 years old.  Please talk to us about any older siblings you wish to attend.

  • Our parties attract a minimum hire charge for exclusive use of the space.  Parties can be scheduled for 1 hour (excludes food, just Birthday Cake and party bags if required), 1.5 hours or 2 hours (both options include food).  Please ensure prompt arrival and departure.

  • A maximum number of 27 children and 27 adults can be accommodated but note that this requires a different number of age ranges (Baby Area – maximum of 5, Role Play Area – maximum of 8, Climbing Area – maximum of 14).  If all children are using just the role play area, it will be too crowded, and we reserve the right to ask parents to move their children to different areas.

  • A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure the date and time requested.  The remaining balance is required 7 days prior to the date of the event.  Important Note:  If full payment has not been received within 3 full days prior to the event, your booking may be cancelled, and the deposit will not be refunded.  Once the deposit had been paid, you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy detailed on our website.

  • You must confirm the number of children and adults attending 1 week prior to the event.

  • Our packages include food for children only, and decorations.

  • Various upgrades are available; Celebration Cake, Entertainer, Party Bags, Food for Adults.

  • Should your celebration need to be cancelled due to severe illness or injury, severe weather conditions, we will endeavour to reschedule your booking on a suitable date. 

  • In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with any aspect of your celebration, please ask to speak to a member of staff on the day.  Regrettably, Finnegan’s World cannot rectify any issues or problems after the event and will not consider any refunds if issues are not raised on the day.

 

Health and Safety

  • You are required to provide a minimum of one adult guardian per 5 children.  However, no more than 1 adult can attend per child to avoid overcrowding.

  • You must inform us of any allergies your guests have so we can cater to these accordingly.

  • We do not permit the use of party poppers, streamers, glitter or pinatas.  Only balloons we provide are permitted.

  • Please do not allow any attendees (adults or children) to sit or lean on the tables.  We will not be liable for any accident resulting from misuse of furniture.

  • Socks must be worn on the play frames at all times.

  • By booking a party with us you are confirming that all attendees have no preexisting condition that may prevent them from using our equipment or place them at any additional risk.

  • Finnegan’s World reserves the right to remove any adult or child from the party or facility if they are rude, verbally or physically aggressive or continually disobey the host.

  • By paying a party booking deposit, you are agreeing to adhere to the Finnegan’s World Terms and Conditions and Softplay Rules.  The Softplay Rules can be viewed here.  

 

On the Day

  • Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before the party start time. If you arrive earlier than this, you may be asked to wait in your outside or in your car until such time as your Host is ready to sign you in.

  • A Host will be assigned to your celebration for the duration of your stay. However, please note they may be helping out in other areas whilst the children are playing.

  • When the children are asked to come off the play frames (for food to be served), please assist the Host in gathering all of the children together promptly and take them to your allocated room/area.

  • You are not permitted to bring your own food or drink into Finnegan’s World (including alcohol).  Only a pre-arranged Birthday Cake, and all food allergies, including the child’s name, must be advised beforehand.

  • The children’s food will be served in the final half an hour of the party.

  • Any adult food platters ordered will be served 30 minutes after the party start time.

  • Children will be asked by the Host to put their shoes on before the food is served.

  • At the end of the event, you are kindly asked to ensure all guests depart the facility promptly.

  • Upon leaving the room, please ensure children are escorted directly to the front door to exit the building. Your co-operation is vital to ensure children do not return to the play areas.

  • Please ensure each child is signed in and out before leaving the building.

  • All additional charges incurred on the day must be paid at the cafe before departure.
