What age is the play frame suitable for?

Our play frame is small, but perfectly formed! It is suitable for children from 2 up to the age of 7, and under 125cm in height. Children this age are also welcome to enjoy the role play pods.
If your child is under 10 months and not walking ("babes in arms"), they are best suited to our soft baby corner with you.
Between 10 and 23 months, the base of the soft play frame is easily accessible at this age, and for parents, plus they can get involved in the role play pods!

What about older children?

If your child is over 7 years old and 125cm in height, they are welcome in the cafe seating area.

Does my child need socks?

Accepted Answer

Yes please! All children must be wearing socks in the play area - we'll have them available to buy, too.

What is the price for a Soft Play session?

Accepted Answer

👧 Child (up to 7 years, under 125cm) – £9.00
🧒 Older child (8+ years) – FREE in our cafe area
🧑‍🍼 One adult per child – FREE
👶 Babes in arms (babies not using the soft play or baby area) – FREE

🕒 Bookings are per hour — because we’re a cosy little place.....but you are very welcome to book as many hours as you'd like!

What time are the sessions?

Just drop in and play on weekdays! No sessions. No bookings. 
Open all day (Mon 10:30am-5pm, Tue-Sun 9am-5pm)
Weekends may have private parties, so book online to avoid disappointment. Walk-ins are welcome (subject to availability)!
£9 per hour
Please note, that sometimes our team may delay entrance to enable cleaning the soft play frame, cafe and public areas to make things spick and span for you and your little ones, but don't worry, you'll still get your full hour!

Can I book in advance?

For weekdays, we do not operate a booking system. Simply walk in and our staff will let you know if there's space - all sessions are £9 per hour.

On weekends, we are often booked for private parties! So, we highly recommend booking a session in advance, or checking availability before you arrive.
We may also have small groups celebrating a birthday - bear in mind that you might be sharing the space with some excitable little ones.

Why is a session unavailable to book?

On weekdays, that's because we no longer require booking in advance! So there will be no options available on the system.

If you cannot see available times to book at weekends, it's more than likely we have a private party, or the available sessions are full.

To help keep things safe, spacious and magical for everyone, we’ve introduced a few gentle limits which our staff on site will manage based on space and availability.

I wasn't charged when booking online, is this a mistake?

Accepted Answer

If you're booking for the 'babes in arms' category, then this is free of charge. Please book an adult space alongside it.
For all child sessions , you must book a session at £9.
Always book one accompanying adult space - this is free.
Our buggy parking is also free.
SO... if you haven't been charged, you may not have booked a spot for your child... just your buggy! Please check your booking :-)

Question 9

Is the space safe and secure?

Absolutely. We’ve thought hard about safety: 
A secure front door with limited access. 
An internal gate between the play area and the café. 
Only families with bookings allowed to sit in.  
Staff-trained eyes on site (plus your own!) - but, every child must be supervised by the adult visiting with them.
All of this in a warm, inviting environment designed for comfort and calm.

Can anyone grab a coffee?

To keep things safe and calm for everyone, only adults attending with a child can sit and stay in the café.  Just passing by? You’re welcome to grab a takeaway coffee & pastry from the counter. Got little ones? Come in, sit down, and make yourselves at home.

Do I have to stay with my child? Do you offer childminding?

Not just yet (we may in the future).  At Finnegan’s World, grown-ups stay and have fun too!
Parents and carers must supervise their children at all times - but we’ve made it easy with:

What can I order to eat and drink?

We have a range of barista coffee, tea, cold drinks, cakes and snacks - including kid-friendly and dietary-friendly needs!

Yes! We are able to book you a private hire space on the ground floor, either a an exclusive space or shared with other soft play customers.

Are you accessible for disabilities?

Yes - we are step-free on the ground floor with wide areas to suit all abilities. We have ambulant toilet facilities on the ground floor as well.

Are you suitable for children with SEND?

Can I bring my dog?

Accepted Answer

Only service animals are allowed on the premises, we cannot accommodate pets due to our limited space and for the safety of all our visitors.

Where can I park?

If you're popping in for a single session, you can park in the nearby Sainsbury's for up to 2 hours for free - perfect to grab your shopping or a snack on the way home!
