Crèche Manager – Mondays

We're looking for a warm, experienced, and qualified Crèche Manager to take the lead on Mondays at Finnegan's World — keeping our soft play space safe, joyful, and running like a dream while our little rascals do what they do best.

This is a hands-on role with real responsibility. You'll be the go-to person on the floor — overseeing play, supporting families, and making sure everything runs safely and smoothly. If you love working with young children, have the qualifications to match, and want to be part of something a bit special in West Ealing, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading and supervising the soft play area during Monday sessions

  • Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment of all children in the space

  • Supporting parents and carers with a warm, confident presence

  • Overseeing daily operations in line with EYFS guidelines and safeguarding requirements

  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with health & safety standards

  • Being a reassuring, capable presence for both families and any supporting staff

What we're looking for

Essential:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education (or equivalent), as required under the EYFS statutory framework

  • Level 2 qualification in maths (or commitment to achieve within two years, in line with DfE requirements for managers appointed from January 2024)

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in an early years, crèche, or nursery setting

  • Valid Paediatric First Aid certificate

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and EYFS requirements

Desirable:

  • Level 5 Diploma for the Early Years Senior Practitioner or equivalent

  • Experience in a supervisory or lead practitioner role

The details

  • Mondays only

  • 10:00am – 6:00pm

  • Salary: £15-21 per hour, depending on experience

Café Assistant & Promoter

We're looking for a friendly, energetic person to join the Finnegan's World team — someone who loves a good chat, takes pride in a well-made coffee, and doesn't mind pounding the pavements to spread the word about somewhere a bit magical.

This is a varied role split across the weekend and one weekday, combining hands-on café work with getting out into the West Ealing community to let local families know we exist. If you're enthusiastic, reliable, and love the idea of being part of something a little bit wonderful — we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing
In the café (weekends):

  • Preparing and serving food and drinks to the highest hygiene and safety standards

  • Delivering friendly, efficient, knowledgeable customer service to our families

  • Handling card payments accurately and responsibly

  • Keeping the café spotless — seating areas, counters, kitchen equipment and WCs

  • Replenishing stock and flagging low levels to the manager

  • Jumping in to support the team during busy periods and parties

Out in the community (A weekday to be agreed):

  • Leafleting local homes and businesses to promote Finnegan's World

  • Being a warm, enthusiastic ambassador for the brand out in the neighbourhood

The details

  • Saturdays: 4 hours (timings agreed weekly to meet party requirements)
